Using it as a controller in a fraction of what smartglass is. A lot of the other features are actually pretty cool. But yes, as a controller, a flat screen will never catch on.
I get that it's "different for everyone," but truth be told, I personally don't care about everyone (pardon me for being selfish). Both my PS3 and 360 have been "always on" for 6 years. I'll get a PS4, and I plan on keeping it always on, and assuming MS won't do anything too crazy during their announcement, I plan on getting a 720 too, since each will have great titles the other won't have. If somebody out their is still rockin' PS3 and 360 firmware...
I would guess developers hugely support the idea; and both Sony and MS are getting pressured by developers to do it. Developers MAY in turn make exclusives for whatever company does it first. Developers would have a profit on every game sold; and deservedly so. Also, I think Sony or MS could TOTALLY get away with if they charged less retail. I'm not saying I'm for it, but from a developer stand point, I completely understand.

I really love my 360, but Skittles can lick my balls. That game looks awful, even for kids.
Or you can just use any number of flash drives laying around your house. The 360 can do that ya know. Just tested one today. Data transfer is a piece of cake.
Rather than trying to get better than the one before, they need an overhaul. What it needs to do is get better than Bad Company 2, which is my preferred game over MW2 since squad based work is SOOO much more fun over a random "run and gun"
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't take this as a fanboy comment...I'm an avid RPG'r and I own both systems. Demons Souls and Valkyria Chronicles were both masterpieces...but the 360 has the PS3 beat far and wide with RPG's this gen. If you really love games, and not just systems, get a 360. Mass Effect 2, Fable 2, Lost Odyssey (SPANKS FF13 imo) and Blue Dragon are all fantastic titles and shouldn't be missed if you love RPG's. PEACE GAMERS!!!
I can't stand how so many PS3 fanboys love blaming devs for making an inferior PS3 game, when the reality is, Sony SELFISHLY put their Cell chip in their systems, when they had MANY other option they could have used to build their system that would have made life easier for devs. When 9 out 10 devs don't like programming for the PS3, then SONY made the problem. Valve, Rockstar, Digital Extreme, just to name a few are brilliant devs that made games better on the 360...blame Sony for ...

BUT I just upgraded to 12mb internet speed, and I can stream VERY beautiful HD content off 360's Netflix running wireless. It may not be as reliable as direct plugin, but speed is just not an issue nowadays, especially with wireless N (not that the 360 or PS3 has that yet) My PS3 is lighting fast too running wireless.
should be telling you there is no such thing as a "nice" Mexican strat, but then again, I am picky and have always bought myself very nice equipment:) I would never buy a peripheral for $300, BUT if it was compatible with Rock Band, I'd be a hair more tempted.

You're an educated gamer. I hate hearing opinions on this question from gamers who haven't even played the entire series. I COMPLETELY agree; 6, 9, 4 are my top three also. You can't have a proper opinion if you haven't played the entire series.
